On this day, we paid attention, fifteen years ago
Tragedy that struck our nation, dealt a mighty blow
Commemorate the lives of all who died but not in vain
Thank God for mercy and His grace to those who suffered pain.

And for a while we paid attention, then we soon forgot
As life resumed for our blessed nation; here’s an afterthought
We know that God had our attention. What about right now?
Let us seek our God’s direction; let us humbly bow.

As God speaks, let’s pay attention; turn to Him again
Let us pray for intervention; seek His face, Amen!
Remember God has blessed this nation! Let us praise His name
May He bless this generation; set our hearts aflame!
