The Fall of Babylon
He was taken to that time, through many years, much later
He saw destruction; Babylon. – By God their Terminator.
The prophet’s loins were filled with pain; He bowed down with dismay
Fear took hold of him to see their punishment that day.
The king that night, declared a feast; They drank wine at his ball
He brought God’s gold and silver cups; This man sure had his gall.
His enemies were stationed just outside the palace wall
In Daniel five, Belshazzar saw writing on his wall
No one could read this message there; For Daniel they did call
Fulfillment of the prophet’s word: Great Babylon did fall.
