King David
A picture of the life of David, to us God has given
The colors could be black and white and gold
The white could represent his good deeds, everyone should follow
The black, the sins of David are in bold.
Yet, in other features David was a type of Christ
Illustrious in what he did and said
The defects in his character are written for our learning
Provided to us in our daily bread.
In dwelling on the defects of this king, we would do well
To take to heart and turn them into prayer
For it is through his failures, that we recognize our own
And these are sins of which we must beware.
