Can’t Win a Soul

whatever_it_takes_to_win_souls.jpg

You can’t win a soul with a fishin’ pole, but you might witness at the lake
You can’t win a soul with a casserole, but you might witness while you bake
You can’t win a soul, out of His control, but pray, there’s a lot at stake
You can’t win a soul, if you’re not made whole; for this is a huge mistake.

You can’t win a soul, if you have no goal; if you’re sleeping and not awake
You can’t win a soul, if on His parole … if your sin you will not forsake
You can’t win a soul, if you don’t enroll … and with soul-winning folks partake
You can’t win a soul, no, you can’t win a soul; if you don’t love them for His sake.

You can win a soul under His control, if you witness for His name’s sake
You can win a soul if you’ve been made whole, in the mountain or at the lake
You can win a soul any place you go, but assembling let’s not forsake
For at church every week, we hear the Lord speak; and His word to the world, then we take.
